The Board and Executive of Shine acknowledge that evolution of vernacular, terminology, pronouns and other interpretations of identity is ever present. When our organisation generates free content for use by parents, family, children or any person, they are concluded using the prevailing ‘terms of the day’.
In acknowledging this important evolution, we endeavour to augment our content, references and terms to continue to act in the best interest of inclusion, appropriate description and respect of identity. This is a considerable, constant program of work that we are committed to. In the interim period, we have chosen to continue to make the content available, while we endeavour in the background. We feel it is better to have our full resource suite available, acknowledging we have augmentation to conclude, than not have the resources available to users.
